Conor Smith
Born in London of Irish descent Conor at 30 has been dancing since the age of 3. Excelling from an early age, Conor went on to win many major competitive titles that included 9 Great Britain, 3 All Ireland and 10 World Championships by the age of 15. An original cast member of Lord of the Dance, Conor went on to understudy for Michael Flatley before being given the opportunity to lead the Las Vegas production of Lord of the Dance in its original showing in the hotel New York, New York. An Economics Graduate from the London School of Economics, and a City of London stock trader by profession, Conor continues to perform for audiences in as far flung and diverse places such as South Africa (leading role in Lord of the Dance tour 2004) to Switzerland, choreographing and leading the new and critically acclaimed production of SkyDance.
Conor has performed in numerous worldwide prestigious events including amongst others, The Academy Awards, The Rosie O’Donnell show, St Petersburg Winter Palace for the G8 leaders, The Tonight show with Jay Leno and the Red Cross Gala in Monaco. |

John Carey
John started dancing at the late age of 7. Taught at “The Doherty Academy” in Birmingham, he progressed quickly and after only 14 months became The Great Britain Champion Under 9. By the age of 10, John became the youngest person to ever complete “The Grand Slam”, wining the All Ireland, World, British National, North American National and Great Britain Championships within the same dancing yr. In total John has won 8 WORLD TITLES, 8 ALL IRELAND, 5 NORTH AMERICAN, AND WAS UNBEATEN AT THE BRITISH NATIONAL AND GREAT BRITAIN CHAMPIONSHIPS WINNING BOTH 11 TIMES EACH. At 17 John became the first English born male dancer to dance with Michael Flatley in Riverdance, and impressed by John’s dancing, Michael asked him to perform with him on his debut Lord of the Dance performance on the Des O’Connor show in 1995. Shortly afterwards John was appointed to be Michael’s understudy, and was appointed lead dancer and dance captain when Michael decided to create a second LOTD troupe. John has performed in numerous worldwide prestigious events including amongst others, The Academy Awards, The Rosie O’Donnell show and The Tonight show with Jay Leno. After nearly 7 years on the road, John has returned to Birmingham to teach ‘The Carey Academy’ full time. |
Alice Reddin
At 25 Alice is one of the finest young women performers of her generation. Dancing
from the age of 3 Alice excelled and accumulated many major titles including
winning one of the highest accolades in Irish Dance the All Ireland title in
2002. Alice joined Michael Flatley's ‘Lord of the Dance' in 2001 and was invited
to perform in the critically acclaimed ‘Feet of Flames' US tour. Excelling from
the start, Alice then took on the leading role of Saoirse where she developed
the role to worldwide acclaim. Alice has performed in many countries and famous
venues that include Madison Square Gardens New York, to name but one. Alice
is currently teaching with the Aaron Crosbie Academy of Irish Dance and performs
regularly for the ‘Lord of the Dance' flying squad. |

Steven Brunning
Steven, now 29, amassed numerous awards during his competitive career that included the Great Britain, British National, All Ireland and World titles. He has also enjoyed an illustrious professional career being an original member of the Lord of the Dance cast, performing in numerous TV and video productions including the Oscar Academy Awards. Whilst in Lord of the Dance, Steven performed the leading role of Don Dorcha, and was also made Dance Captain of the troupe. In 2000/2001, Steven was given the prestigious opportunity of performing a leading role opposite Michael Flatley in the ‘Feet of Flames‘ production. In 2001, Steven returned to full time study at Cambridge University and now practises as a commercial lawyer. |
Catherine Collins
Catherine, now 27, started dancing when she was four years old. Having won numerous
regional titles Catherine also achieved third place in the World Irish Dancing
Championships. At 18, Catherine was invited to perform in Lord of the Dance
and after four months was promoted to the leading role of Saoirse performing
in the USA, Canada and South America. Catherine's many professional achievements
include performing in front of a 26,000 audience at Hyde Park, London in Michael
Flatley's ‘Feet of Flames', and the prestigious annual Red Cross Ball held in
Monte Carlo. In 2001, Catherine returned to her studies but continued to dance
with the Lord of the Dance flying squad. Since completing her degree at Nottingham
University in American Studies, Catherine has joined Riverdance and has performed
to sell-out audiences
across Europe, Once again, she has been singled out to train as the principal
female dancer in that show. |

Michael Edwards
Born and raised in Portsmouth of Irish descent, Michael started dancing at the age of 5. Having won numerous regional titles including 2 Southern England's, and top 3 finishes in National and Great Britain Championships respectively, Michael went on to join Michael Flatley's ‘Lord of the Dance' troupe 2 in 1999. Performing for 4 years, Michael toured the United States and Europe extensively, performing at such prestigous events including Feet of Flames - Hyde Park, Disney, the Martin Short Show L.A and the Red Cross Gala in Monaco. Impressing, Michael also took a lead role for 2 years in 'Lord of the Dance', performing the role of the 'Lord'. |
Fiona Kidd
Fiona began Irish dancing from an early age in Birmingham, England. Taught by her mother, Anne Kidd at the Kidd academy, Fiona excelled, winning in her competive career, amongst others, 2 Great Britain, 2 British National titles and the American Nationals.
Recognised for her talent, Fiona then joined the touring show Lord of the Dance at the young age of 16, where she quickly impressed and gained a leading role opposite Michael Flatley as Saorise.
Currently working as a full time model, Fiona still manages to balance her worldwide modelling obligations from the USA to Asia, with teaching at her family academy. |
